In July 2015, I joined Johnson Investment Counsel as a generalist analyst on the firm's SMID-cap strategy.
Before joining JIC, I was a sell-side equity analyst with Morningstar, where I covered companies in the basic materials, industrial, and consumer sectors. I also led Morningstar's equity stewardship methodology and wrote a regular column on small cap investing.
Prior to joining Morningstar, I was the lead advisor of Motley Fool Dividend Edge, a UK-based newsletter service that recommended and purchased dividend-paying stocks in a real-money portfolio. I was also the lead analyst on Motley Fool PRO, a US-based investing service that employed long and short strategies using stocks, options, and ETFs in a $1 million portfolio.
Earlier in my career, I was a registered representative and equity trader with Vanguard and helped manage ultra-high net worth portfolios at SunTrust Asset Management.
I'm a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Cincinnati.
I'm a proud graduate of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, where I majored in history and minored in economics. I'm a lifelong Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan and support Fulham FC in English football.
